Attorney Chad Hintz, along with Alice Sherren, a Claim Attorney for Minnesota Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company, recently presented a CLE for the Ramsey County Bar Association on the ethical responsibilities of supervising lawyers. The presentation, entitled “Liability of Partners and Supervising Attorneys for Ethical Violations of Supervised Attorneys,” explored in detail how partners and supervising attorneys may be found to have violated ethical rules for failing to adequately supervise subordinate attorneys and non-attorney staff.  The presentation covered several topics involving many rules and offered tips on how to avoid the pitfalls of failing to provide proper supervision.
